Dear Fellow Wascana Conservative,
Marking the fifth anniversary of the election victory that put the Conservative Party of Canada into government, Prime Minister Steven Harper reflected on the party's accomplishments to a roomful of cheering and applauding supporters in Ottawa earlier this year. “Canadians gave our party a mandate to shake up Ottawa. We have been faithful. We have kept that trust and we have delivered.”
For the past five years the Conservative Party of Canada has formed government in Canada and yet our riding, Wascana riding, has been represented by an MP who sits in the ranks of the opposition. It is overdue to change that. We Conservatives and those of us who in the past have called for Reform indeed have unfinished business. As a Conservative I have watched Ralph Goodale vote to keep the long gun registry in place...why? Because it was a Liberal idea in the first place. It is a time for there to be a Conservative majority in Ottawa. It is time for Wascana to elect a Conservative MP.
I write to you because I am a nominee seeking the job of being the Conservative candidate for Wascana. I have been involved with Reform and Conservative politics most of my adult life and have work diligently within the Wascana riding for the past decade. I attach my biography for your consideration.
It is likely that a federal election will be called this week. It is likely that a vote to select the Wascana candidate will take place this week.
Please take the time to attend the Candidates meeting this week. Please vote. Please considering voting on the ballot for my nomination.
Thank you for voting Conservative! Let's get Wascana on the government side of the house!
Let's finish this Unfinished business!
